FAQs

Why does E1st care about social issues anyway?

Bad public policy matters, it is not sustainable for society to go on making bad policy simply because it happens to be politically convenient for the relevant players at the time. In most cases bad policy decisions have a huge cost, both economically and socially, that is usually hidden from the casual observer. Western society is afflicted with a policy making system that has become captive to media savvy special interest groups, and it is costing every citizen dearly due to the misallocation of scarce resources.

Why isn't E1st democratic?

Democracy is a fantastic system for electing and controlling government because it is very difficult to achieve anything quickly in a democracy. The most successful special interest groups in the world today are un-democratic, this enables them to make decisions quickly and move fast and puts them at a massive strategic advantage over traditional democratically driven organisations. E1st needs to remove that advantage to succeed.

Why is E1st profit driven? How will E1st make money?

Being profit driven means that E1st will focus on issues that have a net benefit to society, the current crop of special interest groups actually have a negative effect on society generally through the misallocation of the resources of the people who support them into causes of dubious social benefit. As for E1st making money, it probably wont make very much.

How does E1st select issues to pursue?

We look at the downstream fallout of the vandal campaign or policy action in conjunction with the degree of demographic wedging being used by the potential opponent organisation. Financial resources are at present limiting the scale of E1st operations.
